1992

Comtech founded as a silicon chip sales agency.

1996

Comtech designed first embedded OEM modem modules.

1997/8

Comtech licensed OEM modems to Sony and Grundig to provide telephone connectivity to digital TV set top boxes. In excess of 700,000 units were shipped.

2000

Comtech launched the first end-to-end infrastructure for monitoring and managing any remote machine via the internet – 6 patents covering the system granted in the UK.

2005

Comtech launched the µWEAVE "out of the box" system – an  M2M remote monitoring platform that can be quickly tailored to any application e.g. utilities, vending, manufacturing, retail. It provided the communication platform for Comtech’s digital signage applications.

2006

Comtech gained wireless digital signage success with 2,500 digital displays rolled out across retail stores nationwide for Camelot and Nintendo

2007

Comtech launched a wireless digital signage solution for Newspaper groups rolling out in-store displays to Newsquest and London's Evening Standard.

2008

Comtech acquired by Amshold and renamed Amscreen Group Limited. Two divisions were created to focus on M2M remote monitoring and low cost wireless digital signage solutions, named Amscreen M2M and Amscreen respectively.

2009

Amscreen Healthcare division formed delivering advertising to funded digital signage networks within Doctors surgeries and Hospitals.

2009

Amscreen launched a low cost wireless digital signage solution as a basis for funded digital signage networks, gaining success with BP, Asda, HMV, Power League, Financial Times, MRH and Tom Tom.

2009

Amscreen M2M announced partnership agreements with Brulines and Coffee Nation.

2009

Amscreen Group Limited selected into M2M Magazine's 2010 International M2M 100 directory for the 6th year running - every year since the list began!
