Background
The traditional utility meter displays energy usage as an accumulation of counts presented to a display, which is used to calculate the monthly bill. It is used to measure electricity, gas and water usage in domestic, commercial and industrial applications.

With rising energy costs and environmental pressures, there is a growing need to reduce power consumption. Reducing losses and waste, and adopting power efficient products and technology can achieve this utilising remote management.
